ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 6, 2000
BindView Corporation (NASDAQ: BVEW), a leading provider of IT risk management solutions, today announced that its award-winning solutions for managing Exchange -- bv-Control, bv-Monitor and bv-Admin -- will support the Exchange 2000 messaging and collaboration infrastructure in upcoming product releases. This initiative will result in the most comprehensive migration and management solution for the Microsoft Exchange 2000 environment.
"We are pleased to see that BindView is committed to Exchange 2000," said Stan Sorensen, group product manager, server applications at Microsoft. "Their depth of knowledge and expertise will be invaluable to their customers who are planning their move to Exchange 2000."
BindView's Exchange-centric family of products is being designed to assist customers in their migration path from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2000 and to help deploy and manage Exchange 2000 once the migration is complete. Specifically, BindView's solutions will help customers plan, architect, migrate, deploy, and administer the Exchange 2000 infrastructure, reducing the time to realize the benefits of Conferencing Server, instant messaging, and Outlook Web Access. BindView's Exchange solutions will assist customers using Exchange 2000 in mixed mode and native environments.
These products will benefit customers by:
--Reducing the time for users to become productive using Exchange v5.5 in a Windows 2000 environment.
--Decreasing ownership costs of Exchange on Windows 2000 by using standard configurations and improving security.
--Lowering investment in administrative personnel required to support Exchange 2000 as a result of BindView's analysis and reporting capabilities.
--Improving Exchange 2000 availability and performance, giving a better return on the Exchange 2000 investment.
BindView's Exchange product family will be compatible with Exchange 2000 later in the year.
