DocuPrint N2125 Also Recognized With a May Best Buy
PC World has honored Xerox Corporation (NYSE: XRX) with a 2000 World Class Award in the workgroup monochrome printer category for the Xerox DocuPrint
N2125 Network Laser Printer.
The World Class Award winners will be featured in the July issue of PC World.
The DocuPrint N2125 impressed PC World with its quick speed, crisp text, "flawless" line art and gray-scale images. The N2125 was also recognized for its superior, easy-to-use design and Xerox' feature-rich CentreWare printer management software, which e-mails users a warning when supplies are low.
Celebrating its 18th year, the respected World Class Awards honor the top hardware, software and Web products in the computer industry. To select the best of the best, PC World's editors, testers and contributors examined the entire range of products that appeared in the magazine over the past year. Products in more than 70 categories were judged on performance, value, consistency and innovation.
"This recognition demonstrates that Xerox continues to lead the industry with superior product design and performance," said Gerry Perkel, president, Xerox Office Printing Business. "After only four months on the market, the DocuPrint N2125 has established a reputation as a proven printer with impeccable credentials."
The DocuPrint N2125, at an estimated retail price of $1,399, offers the best value, quality and flexibility in its class. The 21-ppm printer is 23 percent faster and $120 less than the HP LaserJet 4050N. The N2125 delivers true 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution and accepts the widest range of media weights -- up to 133-lb. cardstock -- and media sizes from index cards to legal paper, all through the main paper trays. The N2125 also comes in a non-networked version -- the N2125b -- for an estimated retail price of $1,049.
"The World Class Award winners represent an all-star lineup of the year's best products," said Kevin McKean, editorial director, PC World. "Throughout the year, the editors scout outstanding players in hardware and software for our readers; the World Class Awards honor the stand-out rookies, solid veterans and emerging trends that represent the finest the industry has to offer."
A member of the DocuPrint N Series, the N2125 also was No.1 on PC World's Top 10 corporate printers chart in May.
