Sony Pictures Digital Entertainment to Deploy DoubleClick's
Industry Leading DART Technology Across its Online Entertainment
Network
DoubleClick Inc. (NASDAQ: DCLK), the leading global Internet advertising solutions company, today announced that Sony Pictures Digital Entertainment has signed an exclusive two-year agreement, under which DoubleClick DART (Dynamic Advertising Reporting and Targeting) will be the ad management solution for each of its online properties, including The Station@sony.com, Sony Music Online, Sony Pictures Entertainment Online and InfoBeat.
"We chose DART for Publishers because its ad serving infrastructure is reliable and can scale to deliver any volume of ads," said Michael Lamb, Director of Internet Ad Operations for Sony Pictures Digital Entertainment. "With DART, we can now deliver more compelling advertisements, and provide better service for our advertisers."
Under the agreement, Sony will use the DART for Publishers ad delivery and management solution to efficiently manage its advertising inventory, dynamically serve targeted campaigns and accurately report on campaign performance. This web-based, scalable solution handles all the support and technical work necessary to deploy and update campaigns on the Web.
"More and more, the most recognized networks and sites on the Web, like Sony Pictures Digital Entertainment, continue to turn to DoubleClick for their online ad management solutions," said David Rosenblatt, Senior Vice President and General Manager of DoubleClick TechSolutions. "We're excited to work with Sony and are confident that our proven DART infrastructure and expertise in interactive marketing technology will provide Sony with the support they need as their network of online properties evolves and grows."
Sony Pictures Digital Entertainment joins some of the world's leading Web sites already using DART, including The Wall Street Journal Interactive Edition, Excite Europe, Infoseek, Bloomberg and FortuneCity. DART, which served 125 billion ads last quarter, continues to emerge as the industry standard. In March alone, DART delivered 48 billions ads, and is currently serving 1.5 billion ads in one day.
