SKECHERS USA, Inc. (NYSE:SKX), a lifestyle leader in the global footwear industry, and R. GRIGGS GROUP LIMITED, the manufacturer of the world famous Dr. Martens(R) footwear, today announced that the two companies have settled in principle all of their outstanding litigation against each other. The terms of the settlement are confidential but the parties can disclose that the settlement will not require payment of any money by either party and that SKECHERS will acknowledge the distinctiveness of Dr. Martens(R) trade dress. The Companies have memorialized the settlement in a letter of intent and will prepare a formal agreement in the coming weeks.
