Concept Industries Inc. Wireless Messaging License Approved

Business Wire, March 15, 2000

Business Editors

VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 15, 2000

Concept Industries Inc. (the "Company") (CDNX:CEU.) is pleased to announce its paging joint venture partner, a subsidiary company of the Shandong provincial government of the People's Republic of China ("China"), has received approval for a wireless messaging license. This is a significant development for the Company's paging joint venture ("Contour") as it is now positioned to capture part of the immense wireless messaging market that is expected to hit China.

Contour operates paging systems in 13 cities in Shandong province and as of December 31, 1999, reported a subscriber base of 332,000 customers. Business has continued to grow as 45,000 new paging accounts were opened in the first two months of this year. Management believes that expanding the operations to include interactive wireless messaging can further enhance this strong performance. Since its introduction in China last year, wireless messaging has become increasingly popular. In addition to receiving messages, the wireless units allow users to send messages to other pagers, fax machines, cellular telephones and personal computers.

Wireless messaging is gaining widespread use in the United States. Research In Motion ("RIM"), a Canadian maker of interactive email pagers is having its shares trade at record breaking levels due to the tremendous demand for its interactive wireless handheld devices. From a business standpoint, wireless messaging is an effective and efficient way of managing information and messages without the necessity of a PC or being tied to the office.

Recently while in China, management held discussions with two international telecom companies in Hong Kong regarding a potential alliance to develop a wireless messaging network to be based in Shandong province. Management will be returning to China towards the end of the month to follow up on the new initiatives of Contour as well as further meetings with Jitong Telecommunications Co. Ltd. regarding the Internet Data Center project.
