MINNEAPOLIS--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--March 16, 2000
On today's show Rosie O'Donnell will surprise two high school seniors with special class rings supplied by Jostens (NYSE:JOS).
When O'Donnell heard about a Butte, North Dakota high school with only two seniors, she decided to invite those students as special guests on her show. But little did students Heidi Schatz and Elizabeth Haugen know that Rosie had one more surprise in store for them. The show's staff contacted Jostens, a leading manufacturer of class rings, and ordered special high school class rings for her guests. It seems Schatz and Haugen did not have rings from their school - Butte High School.
"We're delighted to provide the students with these rings in such a fun setting," said Mike Bailey, Jostens vice president and general manager. "Class rings represent a tradition and we're pleased that Rosie's staff allowed us to help make this dream come true for Heidi and Elizabeth."
The rings feature each of the senior's names, their school activities, and a shamrock-colored stone (Butte High School's school color).
The Rosie O'Donnell show airs Monday through Friday on television stations across the United States. For a listing of local affiliates and show times visit http://rosieo.warnerbros.com/
