SERENA Software, Inc. (Nasdaq:SRNA), an industry-leading supplier of eBusiness infrastructure Software Change Management solutions, today announced that its eChange Man(tm) solution will support S/390(R) Unix System Services. This extension of eChange Man's capabilities enables enterprises to employ IBM(R)'s Unix operating system in their S/390 Enterprise Server environments, to drive eBusiness capabilities with a consistent Software Change Management (SCM) approach supported by a single vendor. SERENA's solution offers a single point of control for managing software changes to mission critical eBusiness applications running across all major platforms from mainframe to the Web to improve reliability, quality and time to market while reducing hard costs.

SERENA's Change Man(R) provides the automated software change management infrastructure for S/390 MVS applications, with eChange Man for Windows, NT, Web, UNIX, and MPE/ix environments. Large enterprises with significant investments in legacy applications can now realize increased time-to-market and software reliability running Unix on the S/390 platform.

Availability
S/390 Unix System Services support is scheduled for availability with the next release of eChange Man in Q2 2000. With that release, eChange Man will provide a single point of control to manage software change across the following platforms: Web, Windows, Windows NT, Unix (HP-UX, IBM AIX, Sun Solaris OS, S/390 USS; and Linux), and MPE/ix.
