INTERDirec Becomes First ONE TOUCH Front Row e-Learning Application Service Provider in Mexico

Business Wire, March 24, 2000

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 24, 2000

Mexican Telecommunications Company to Change

Landscape of Training in Latin America

ONE TOUCH Systems Inc., the company that powers enterprise e-Learning with advanced interactive broadband applications, today announced an agreement with Internet Directo SA de CV (INTERDirec).

Under this agreement INTERDirec will distribute ONE TOUCH Systems' PC-based multimedia distance learning application, Front Row(R). INTERDirec, a telecommunications service provider headquartered in Mexico City, will offer Front Row as an e-Learning solution to customers that need to communicate with employees in dispersed locations.

This is the first time businesses in Latin America will be able to take advantage of Front Row's powerful distance learning capabilities, reaching unlimited numbers of students anytime, anywhere. Incorporating ONE TOUCH Front Row as part of their integral customer solution will assist INTERDirec in achieving their goal of becoming the leading distance learning provider in Latin America.

"Companies with locations throughout Mexico and Latin America can now take advantage of Front Row's many benefits. It is a complete solution for training and communication, using a technology that is compatible with current standards and extensive content.

"By eliminating much of the expense of regular classroom training, Front Row offers a fast return on investment, productivity, and efficiency in addition to security and privacy," said Guillermo Medina, general manager of INTERDirec. "In addition, INTERDirec can also provide them with the equipment and infrastructure to broadcast from their facilities resulting in reduced costs and fast implementation."

The hub of INTERDirec's e-Learning service offering will be at its full-service broadcast studio in Mexico City. Delivering a class from this facility, an instructor will be able to simultaneously reach and present a course to large numbers of dispersed students at multiple locations learning at desktop PCs. With the ONE TOUCH e-Learning solution, students are able to see, hear, and interact with the instructor in real-time.

And, with ONE TOUCH, results from student questions and quizzes are captured in a database allowing the instructor to analyze results and generate reports -- providing a high-level of student certification and measurement.

"Organizations around the world are realizing that e-Learning is a cost-effective, viable way to learn," said Don Thornton, ONE TOUCH President and CEO. "The INTERDirec and ONE TOUCH partnership is just one indication of how e-Learning is fast becoming a global training and communication standard. I am extremely pleased to be working with INTERDirec in growing the e-Learning market."
