DAYTON, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 6, 2000

Stampede announces shipment of new Lotus Notes accelerators

for IBM AS/400 & RS/6000 (AIX) servers

at COMMON Spring 2000

Stampede Technologies Inc. (www.stampede.com), a leading developer of acceleration software, began shipping Monday new additions to its' TurboGold family of accelerators for Lotus Notes and Domino servers.

The new products support IBM's AS/400 and RS/6000 (AIX) servers in either client-to-server or server-to-server applications. They join and complement Stampede's highly successful Windows NT TurboGold offerings.

Stampede will be demonstrating the new advanced server products at COMMON Spring 2000 Expo/Solution Center in booth No. 315 at the San Diego Convention Center, in San Diego, from March 12 - 14, 2000.

COMMON is a conference that caters to the largest group of users of IBM and IBM compatible information technology. It allows IT professionals to share knowledge and experience with their peers and allows for unique opportunities to get cutting-edge education.

"With the prominent role IBM plays in the COMMON Spring 2000 conference, it provided us an ideal forum to announce the shipment of our new TurboGold acceleration products for IBM's AS/400 and AIX servers," said Gordon Dorworth, president and chief executive officer of Stampede Technologies Inc.

"We knew we were on the right track when we announced these products at Lotusphere 2000 and received such a tremendous response. We expect that enthusiasm to continue now that we are starting to deliver these products."

The IBM AS/400 servers and the RS/6000 (AIX) servers have been designed to help companies manage growth by delivering better performance, scalability, manageability, serviceability, security, and interoperability. They provide the means to run mission-critical applications including Lotus Domino's collaborative software.

Lotus Domino combines functions such as email, document management, calendaring and scheduling, and other groupware facilities to let employees work together more effectively over corporate networks and the Internet.

It is the world's leading workflow and messaging software that enables employees to communicate with colleagues, collaborate in teams, and coordinate strategic business processes on and off the web. IBM's commitment to this concept was recently demonstrated with their release of the AS/400e Dedicated Server for Domino.

TurboGold's new advanced server software builds on this collaborative theme and fits seamlessly into IBM's AS/400 and RS/6000 (AIX) server and Domino architecture. TurboGold adapts to different workloads and incorporates the ability to grow with the customer's network as new clients and servers are added.

As it does so, TurboGold enhances the flow of Lotus Notes information throughout the network whether it is on Windows NT servers or the new Advanced Server products for IBM AS/400 and RS/6000 (AIX) servers.

The speed, adaptability, and scalability of these servers together with the same traits found in TurboGold combine to give companies the power and flexibility to successfully manage their business.

TurboGold's Advanced Server products are available for immediate delivery at prices ranging from $6,295 to $1,295 depending on volume. For more information contact Stampede Technologies at 800/763-3423 or visit their web site at www.stampede.com.

Stampede will also be exhibiting TurboGold the same week at ADMIN2000, THE VIEW Administration Conference for Notes and Domino Professionals, held at the Sheraton Boston Hotel, Boston, in booth No. 36 from March 15 - 17, 2000.
