STC's e-Business Application Integration Allows
Information To Be Shared Between Onyx Front Office
And PeopleSoft, Oracle, And SAP Applications
Onyx Software Corporation (NASDAQ:ONXS), a leading provider of customer-centric e-Business solutions, and STC, a leading provider of e-Business application integration (eAI) packaged solutions, today announced a reseller agreement in which Onyx Software will resell STC's technology to provide integration solutions to multiple back-office Enterprise Resource Planning systems. STC's flagship product suite, e*Gate(TM) e-Business Integrator, will enable the seamless integration of the Onyx Front Office with SAP R/3, PeopleSoft and Oracle back-office financial applications.
"The pressure on companies over the past decade to become efficient `networked enterprises' has resulted in an infrastructure of disconnected best-of-breed applications," said Jim Demetriades, founder, chairman and CEO for STC. "Our integration solutions are designed to facilitate this seamless flow of information within and among enterprises in a rapid and cost-effective manner, eliminating the disconnected infrastructure that these companies are currently facing while establishing a platform for e-Business."
The STC Intelligent Bridges for Onyx-Oracle, Onyx-PeopleSoft, and Onyx-SAP will facilitate the out-of-the-box flow of data between Onyx's applications and the ERP systems, via STC's e*Gate e-Business Integrator. Once information has been transported from the Onyx application to e*Gate, customers can then also leverage additional STC intelligent adapters to integrate with other ERP and best-of-breed applications.
"Our reseller agreement with STC gives our customers a rapid integration between their front and back office systems and the flexibility to choose best-of-breed software suppliers for two very distinct areas of their business," said Brent Frei, President and CEO of Onyx Software. "We're pleased to offer customers this pre-packaged solution which will give them the flexibility to choose Onyx Front Office as their best-of-breed CRM system, gaining the experience and proven deployment track record that affords, with the confidence that it will seamlessly integrate with their existing ERP application."
The Intelligent Bridge for Onyx-SAP and the Intelligent Bridge for Onyx-PeopleSoft will be released for general availability in the Spring 2000. STC's adapters for Onyx and Oracle are available today.
