Emulex Appoints Karen Mulvany Vice President, Business Planning & Development

Emulex Corp. (Nasdaq:EMLX), the world's largest independent supplier of fibre channel adapters, Wednesday announced the appointment of Karen Mulvany to the newly created position of vice president, Business Planning/Development.

In her new position, Mulvany will oversee all corporate investment and business combination activities for the company. Mulvany has previously held investment banking positions at Robertson Colman & Stephens, L.F. Rothschild Unterberg Towbin and Hambrecht & Quist, where she specialized in the communications and networking industry sectors. Prior to joining Emulex, she had consulted for various technology companies in the areas of investor relations, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning and corporate finance since 1991.
