Midway Announces PlayStation 2 Computer Entertainment System Line-up

Midway Games Inc. (NYSE:MWY), a leading software industry publisher and developer, today announced the company's current titles in development for the PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system.
"Ready 2 Rumble(TM)Boxing: Round 2," "NBA(R)Hoopz(TM)," "Gauntlet(R): Dark Legacy(TM)," "Spy Hunter(R)," "Legion(TM): Legend Of Excalibur," "Off Road Thunder(TM)" and "CART(R)Fury(TM)," will be the first of Midway's impressive PlayStation 2 line up.

"Ready 2 Rumble Boxing: Round 2"
Capitalizing on the power of the PlayStation 2 and the unique and hilarious personality of this best-selling franchise, "Ready 2 Rumble Boxing: Round 2" brings an all-new level of style and gameplay-attitude to the boxing ring.
Leaving none of the elements of the original bestseller behind, the game combines intense boxing competition and the same over-the-top action that made "Ready 2 Rumble Boxing" a hugely popular entry in the fighting category. "Ready 2 Rumble Boxing: Round 2" for the PlayStation 2 system is expected to be available in retail outlets this November.
Currently in development, this title is not yet officially approved by Sony Computer Entertainment America.
"NBA Hoopz"
Basketball has never been so sweet! Featuring NBA big-man Shaquille O'Neal's standout motion-captured moves, "NBA Hoopz" on the PlayStation 2 delivers high-flying NBA excitement with official NBA teams and players.
The game's 3-on-3 arcade-style gameplay and incredibly detailed PlayStation 2 player models, make "NBA Hoopz" a mind-boggling basketball experience. "NBA Hoopz" for the PlayStation 2 system is expected to be available in retail outlets January 2001. Currently in development, this title is not yet officially approved by Sony Computer Entertainment America.
"Gauntlet: Dark Legacy"
"Gauntlet: Dark Legacy" on PlayStation 2 blows out the original "Gauntlet" experience, utilizing never-before-seen graphics and animations that create a spectacular multi-player adventure. "Gauntlet," which first appeared as a hit arcade title in 1984, became an instant top seller last year when it was reintroduced to a new generation of players in both arcade and home markets with the all-new "Gauntlet Legends."
The all-new "Gauntlet: Dark Legacy" for the PlayStation 2 system is expected to be available in retail outlets March 2001. Currently in development, this title is not yet officially approved by Sony Computer Entertainment America.
"Spy Hunter"
"Spy Hunter" is a classic fast-paced 3D combat racer that explodes onto PlayStation 2. Players assume the role of an international spy who navigates a high-speed vehicle through a variety of exotic locations.
This all-new version of "Spy Hunter," based on the original arcade classic, will incorporate original game elements with exciting new high-tech weapons, enemies, vehicles and levels. "Spy Hunter" for the PlayStation 2 system is scheduled for an early 2001 release.
Currently in development, this title is not yet officially approved by Sony Computer Entertainment America.
"Legion: Legend of Excalibur"
"Legion: Legend of Excalibur" is an awe-inspiring 3D role-playing/strategy game set in King Arthur's universe. As Arthur Pendragon, high king of England, players can build and control their own legions to defeat dark powers and claim their kingdom. "Legion: Legend of Excalibur" is being designed to deliver challenging solo play and addictive multi-player modes for PlayStation 2.
"Legion: Legend of Excalibur" for the PlayStation 2 system is scheduled for summer 2001. Currently in development, this title is not yet officially approved by Sony Computer Entertainment America.
"Off Road Thunder"
Bringing the multiplayer appeal of driving games to a whole new level, "Off Road Thunder" is a visually stunning, ultra-realistic off-road racing experience. This third release in Midway's "Thunder(TM)" series expands off-road adventure from the outdoors to indoor, man-made venues and offers players eight selectable and four hidden monster vehicles.
"Off Road Thunder" for the PlayStation 2 system is scheduled for a 2001 release. Currently in development, this title is not yet officially approved by Sony Computer Entertainment America.
"CART Fury"
An intense, ultra-competitive racing experience awaits players in "CART Fury" for the PlayStation 2 system. With cars, sponsors and tracks licensed from CART Licensed Products and drivers like Michael Andretti, "CART Fury" provides a wildly entertaining racing experience unlike any other.
"CART Fury" for the PlayStation 2 system is scheduled for a 2001 release. Currently in development, this title is not yet officially approved by Sony Computer Entertainment America.
