Savi Technology Announces Key Staff Appointments; Professional Services, Software and E-commerce Marketing Professionals Fill Ranks of Fast-Growing Asset Tracking Company

Savi Technology, Inc., a provider of Commerce Visibility(TM) systems, today announced the addition of five new staff to its business management team, continuing an expansion of the company's competencies in B2B e-commerce solutions, marketing and software engineering.
The new staff members are: Herb Woodward, Vice President, Professional Services; Seeni Burli, Director of Industry Marketing/E-commerce; Abhijit Deshpande, Director of Software Development; Jeri Donn, Director of Commercial Software Systems; and Kathy Maag, Director of Marketing Communications.
"With the recent announcement of our Series B financing round, Savi is now accelerating deployment of systems and expanding commercial business marketing programs," said Vic Verma, president and chief executive officer of Savi. "We are continuing to add staff at all levels to build a complete, real-time information infrastructure that will power the supply chains of manufacturing and distribution industries."
Staff Responsibilities, Biographies
-- Herb Woodward, Vice President, Professional Services - A
recognized authority on project management, system
integration, software engineering and professional services,
Woodward has more than 25 years of experience in the software,
computer and telecommunications fields. Before joining Savi,
he served as Vice President of Professional Services for
Aspirian, Inc., Director of System Integration at Tandem
Computers, Inc. and as Advanced Systems Manager at TRW, Inc.
Woodward has a B.S. in engineering from MIT and a M.S. in
management from the University of Southern California.
-- Seeni Burli, Director of Industry Marketing/E-commerce - As a
manager in the consulting practice of KPMG, Burli developed
and implemented business-to-business e-commerce strategies,
with particular emphasis on supply chain and procurement
applications. Burli also held management positions at A.O.
Smith Automotive Products Company, Vickers Systems
International and Dowty Hydraulics. He holds an MBA from the
University of Chicago and an M.S. in engineering from the
University of Wisconsin.
-- Jeri Donn, Director of Commercial Software Systems - Brings a
strong background in project management for software
development projects to Savi. He previously was Director of
Engineering for Westinghouse Security Electronics, now part of
Honeywell, Inc. During seven years at Westinghouse, he also
directed software development teams and, as a senior software
engineer, was chief architect for Enterprise-class systems. He
holds a B.A. in physics from the University of Tennessee.
-- Abhijit Deshpande, Director of Software Development - With
more than 12 years of experience in applications development,
including design, architecture and program management,
Deshpande most recently directed Internet architecture and
development projects for @POS.com. He has developed software
applications for Oracle Corporation, Concentric, MBNA America
Bank, American Airlines Decision Technologies and Ohio
Automation Inc. He holds a M.S. in industrial and systems
engineering, and a M.S. in mathematics and computer science
from Ohio University.
-- Kathy Maag, Director of Marketing Communications -- Most
recently the Northern California/Hawaii Director of High Tech
Marketing for Deloitte & Touche, Maag was responsible for the
e-business initiative in the Big Five firm's Silicon Valley
office. She previously was Director of Communications for
Joint Venture: Silicon Valley Network, was the founder/owner
of a Silicon Valley public relations firm, and has held
reporting and public relations staff positions for several
newspapers, including the San Jose Mercury News, the St.
Petersburg Times and The Florida Times-Union. Maag holds a
B.S. degree in journalism from the University of Kansas.
