General Magic Named Finalist In the Computerworld Smithsonian Awards

General Magic, Inc.(TM) (Nasdaq: GMGC), a leading voice application service provider, was named one of the six finalists in its category in the 2000 Computerworld Smithsonian Awards for its magicTalk(TM) Voice Enabling Technology and the myTalk(TM) Internet Service.

Oracle Corporation's chairman and chief executive officer, Lawrence Ellison, nominated General Magic for the award in the "Business and Related Services" category. Oracle(R) databases are used across General Magic's line of products and services.
