FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 30, 2000

Aeroservice Aviation Center, Inc. of Miami, one of the nation's leading aviation training academies, will be the prime sponsor of the Aviation Employee Placement Service aviation career AirFair in Los Angeles June 16 and 17.

Prospective employees who attend the AirFair to meet and talk with recruiters from more than two dozen major aviation companies will also have the opportunity to win great discounts on B-737 Type Rating training from Aeroservice at the company's new, fully equipped FAA part 142 training center. Aeroservice will also be taking applications for upcoming B-727 and B-747 training programs.

Al Acord, Vice President of Aeroservice, added, "Aeroservice is the approved training provider for Amerijet, a B-727 operator. Amerijet will guarantee an interview to those candidates who successfully pass the Amerijet B-727 Specialty Course at Aeroservice. We are very excited to team with A.E.P.S. in the enhancement of aviation careers through this event."

"This is a win-win situation for both A.E.P.S. and Aeroservice," said James Dent, President of A.E.P.S. "One of the most respected names in aviation flight and maintenance training has joined with A.E.P.S. to present the AirFair, and the training opportunities it offers provides additional incentive for prospective aviation employees to attend the event."

The Los Angeles AirFair is the fourth in a series of career fairs conducted by A.E.P.S. this year, and each has been more successful than the ones before. Previous AirFairs have been held in Chicago, Atlanta and Ft. Lauderdale. The fifth will be held in Dallas/Fort Worth in August. Additional AirFairs are planned for most major U.S. cities in the future.

Literally thousands of individuals seeking new job opportunities in the broad field of aviation have attended the two-day AirFairs; hundreds have received their initial job interviews at the events, and many have been employed as a direct result of their attendance at the AirFair.

Companies to be recruiting at the Los Angeles event include the Boeing Company, Bombardier FlexJet, National Airlines, TWA, Dee Howard Aircraft, and others. For a complete, up-to-date listing, as well as other details on the AirFair and tips on what to wear, bring with you and to expect at the event, visit the A.E.P.S. web site at www.aeps.com.
