Infrastructure Support and Broader Platform Compatibility

(Nasdaq:SRNA), an industry-leading supplier of eBusiness infrastructure Software Change Management (SCM) solutions, today announced the general availability of eChange Man 5.2, the company's robust solution that protects software assets and automates the software life cycle to streamline development and deployment, enhance quality, and speed time to market. eChange Man 5.2 extends the range of business critical components that can be centrally managed, provides greater flexibility in database support, enhances performance and provides a single point of control to manage software change across the most popular eBusiness platforms.

eChange Man 5.2 now offers comprehensive life cycle support (e.g. version control, process management, approvals, impact analysis, build and release management, reporting and audit, security, concurrent development and backout capability) for Linux and OS/390 UNIX System Services (USS). This includes client support, securely storing software code, locating the meta data repository on Linux or OS/390 USS, managing software builds, and distributing applications to Linux or OS/390 USS servers. eChange Man 5.2 supports Red Hat Linux operating systems 5.2 and above and other popular versions.
eChange Man's new Oracle database support enables companies to leverage their investment in Oracle technology and training by centralizing control and improving performance and scalability. Overall, eChange Man offers customers a comprehensive, open solution with advantages in ease of use, implementation, and administration, performance, and as part of a broader solution for managing change enterprise-wide.
SERENA's Change Man(R) provides the automated software change management infrastructure for OS/390 MVS applications, with eChange Man for Windows, NT, Web, UNIX (e.g., Sun Solaris, IBM AIX, HP-UX, OS/390 USS, and Linux), and MPE/iX environments. ChangeXpress(TM) provides a single point of control for software change reporting and approvals for platforms supported by Change Man and eChange Man. ChangeXpress is scheduled for delivery next quarter.
