MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 8, 2000
Sagent Technology Inc. (Nasdaq: SGNT), a leading provider of Real-time e-Business Intelligence solutions, today announced that the company won the 2000 CRM Excellence Award from Technology Marketing Corp. (TMC), the premier source of news and product information for the customer relationship management (CRM) industry. TMC publishes Communication Solutions(tm) (formerly CTI(R)), C@LL CENTER CRM Solutions(TM) and INTERNET TELEPHONY(R) magazine.
The CRM Excellence Award is a new award honoring companies that are the vanguards of the CRM industry with their innovative products. The selection process was conducted by editors of all the TMC publications and was based on criteria such as the breadth of companies using the vendor's CRM products and its overall leadership position in the CRM marketplace.
"Our editors selected Sagent Technology for its innovation and vision, as well as for the outstanding impression it's made amongst market constituents," said Rich Tehrani, president and group editor-in-chief, Technology Marketing Corporation. "The CRM Excellence award is designed to honor companies with innovative products that have furthered customer relationship management. We are pleased to award Sagent our highest honor in recognizing its exemplary contribution to the industry."
Sagent's most recent contribution is Centrus Real-Time(TM), the newest extension to the Centrus product line from Sagent and the first XML-based Internet information service that dynamically delivers value-added information at the point of customer interaction, such as call centers and Web sites, to help companies make smarter business decisions. Centrus Online(TM) provides the same access to external information as Centrus Real-Time, but is designed to handle large files of information rather than single record requests. The complete Centrus information service is available through the Centrus.com portal http://www.centrus.com.
"The integration of real-time value-added content and e-business intelligence allows companies to gain a much deeper understanding of their prospects and customers. It clearly enhances customer relationship management by delivering geographic, demographic and business-to-business information at the customer touch point to help make better business decisions," said Malcolm Hobbs, vice president of marketing, Sagent Technology. "Coming after our introduction of Centrus Real-Time, this valuable award recognizes our dedication to drive more effective CRM through real-time e-business intelligence solutions."
Sagent delivers the only open, scalable solution that addresses the complete life cycle for e-Business Intelligence, including development, production and ongoing management of a company's information assets. The Sagent Solution allows businesses to collect and analyze customer and operational data from existing systems and to incorporate the most current geographic, business-to-business and demographic information from third-party content providers in real time. This information is then made available to create precise one-to-one marketing campaigns, identify profitable sales opportunities, and improve operational efficiencies.
