ADC (Nasdaq:ADCT; www.adc.com) today unveils a new addition to its Metrica Professional Services offering - the Business Consulting Unit. The Business Consulting Unit will use the wealth of experience its people have gained from working with over 160 networks using Metrica technology, in five continents around the world, to offer customers operational and business consulting.

Business consulting is tailored to individual network operators' needs for strategic advice to enable them to fully exploit their Metrica solutions and in so doing, take performance management into the very heart of their business strategy and processes. The unit will offer advice on making the most of key linkages between performance information of all kinds and the functions of finance, marketing and product management. This type of consulting is designed to enable operators to make timely, informed and cost-effective decisions about launching new services or investing in new infrastructure

Operational consulting offers operators in-depth assistance in developing their use of the system at a technical level. It adds additional value to the existing range of services - Technical Account Management, Customer Projects, On-site services, Training and Technical Support - which Metrica Professional Services already provides by helping network engineers, quality managers, and IT departments to make the most of their Metrica solutions.

Principal Consultant, Bob Gowers, will lead the new unit. Gowers has been in the telecommunications industry for over twenty five years and has extensive experience project managing aspects of network development at British Telecom in the United Kingdom and at Swiss Operator Sunrise.
