Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:CTXS) today congratulated Traver Gruen-Kennedy on his re-election to the top post at the Application Service Provider (ASP) Industry Consortium, the international advocacy group dedicated to promoting the ASP industry and articulating the measurable benefits of its delivery model. Under Gruen-Kennedy's leadership, the Consortium has grown from 25 founding companies to more than 450 member companies worldwide.

The Consortium works to establish standards for best practices in ASP engagements, commissions research to accurately assess market needs, and educates the marketplace about the rapidly evolving ASP delivery model. Gruen-Kennedy was first elected to lead the ASP Industry Consortium in May 1999.
As director, Internetworking Strategy for Citrix, Gruen-Kennedy is a key corporate strategist with worldwide responsibility for strategic planning and partnering relationships in advanced communications and application hosting markets. Prior to his tenure with Citrix, he served as a consultant developing corporate strategies for technology suppliers such as Lucent Technologies, Sun Microsystems, Nortel, Teledesic and Xerox. Additionally, he developed IT strategies for enterprise clients such as L.L. Bean, and contributed to policy development and legislation with policy makers including the ITU (International Telecommunications Union), the FCC (Federal Communications Commission), and the United States Senate.
