COLLEGIS Announces New Consulting Services Business Unit

COLLEGIS, Inc. announced today the formation of COLLEGIS Consulting Services, a new business unit dedicated to providing strategic consulting and support services to higher education.
The business unit will be staffed with current COLLEGIS employees coupled with the hiring of additional Higher Education specialists and senior Information Technology professionals. They will be charged with helping clients assess, plan and implement information technology solutions. The services offered will include: e.Campus planning, institutional strategic planning, e.Learning planning, e.Commerce planning, strategic/tactical IT planning, process analysis and design, technology assessment and IT organization assessment.
COLLEGIS announced that Jan A. Baltzer has joined the company to lead the new business unit, serving as the Senior Vice President of Consulting Services. "The launch of COLLEGIS Consulting Services brings a new and expanded suite of services to the higher education community, focused on enabling institutions to strategically plan for and implement information technology solutions," said Baltzer. "I am excited about having the opportunity to work with a group of highly qualified consultants, and the entire COLLEGIS organization, to deliver these new services to colleges and universities." Baltzer comes to COLLEGIS with over 20 years of experience in higher education technology management including CIO for The Apollo Group, parent company of the University of Phoenix, and as Director of Computing and Communications for the Maricopa Community College District.
Dr. Bert Bach, Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs at East Tennessee State University (ETSU), is pleased to see the addition of strategic consulting added to the suite of services that COLLEGIS has to offer.
