PSC Announces Corporate Restructuring

WEBSTER, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--November 10, 2000

PSC Inc. (Nasdaq:PSCX), a global leader in the manufacture and marketing of bar code scanning equipment and automatic data collection solutions, today announced a restructuring of the Company that will result in the consolidation of its Webster, New York headquarters with its operations in Oregon.

Remaining in Webster will be the PSC Automation, Inc. business unit and a Technology Center that will include self-checkout, verification, imaging and mobile and wireless products.

Previously the Company had said its Webster facility was for sale. It continues to be actively marketed. Of the approximately 140 positions the Company is eliminating, 110 are in Webster. The Company employs approximately 1,200 people, worldwide. Most of the affected employees will leave between mid-January and the end of March, 2001.
