Now Covering Over 850,000 POPs
UbiquiTel Inc., (Nasdaq:UPCS - news), a Sprint PCS (NYSE:PCS) Network Partner, announced today the launch of advanced Sprint wireless personal communication services (PCS) in Reno, Sparks, Carson City, and East Tahoe, Nevada covering over 350,000 residents. The launch increases UbiquiTel's covered POPs to 850,000 residents across all of its markets. UbiquiTel expects to increase its coverage in the Reno/Tahoe area further by the end of the year to cover an additional 150,000 residents on I-80 between Reno and Sacramento.
