Fairy tales and information technology will converge during Dr. H. Lynn Cundiff's presentation of "Goldie Locks and the Three Bears 1," at this month's Utah Information Technologies Association (UITA) luncheon.

The luncheon will be held Nov. 29 at 12:00 p.m. in the Salt Palace Convention Center. Cundiff's presentation will be held in conjunction with the annual Utah Information Technology Exposition and Conference (ITEC), the region's largest information technology show.

Following Cundiff's address on funding challenges, four top VC and dot-com CEO panelists will lead a discussion on "The New Reality of Funding High Tech Enterprises." The Technology Town Meeting discussion will include the following recognized professionals:

-- Paul Ahlstrom, managing director of vSpring -- Chair of the Angel/Seed
Investments Committee for the Utah-Silicon Valley Alliance

-- Nicole Toomey Davis, president/CEO of DoBox Inc., former senior manager of
market development at 3Com

-- Richard Hanks, president/CEO of MyAssociation.com -- author, speaker,
teacher, adjunct professor at Cornell University

-- Todd Stevens, managing director of Wasatch Venture Fund -- co-chair of the
Venture Capital Committee for the Utah-Silicon Valley Alliance

"We are proud to host the Utah ITEC and pleased to present Dr. Cundiff to our members as a proven technology leader, and accomplished author in the education sector," said Richard Nelson, president and chief executive officer of UITA.

"His IT insights are apparent nationally to those who have seen his impressive track record, including his membership on the Microsoft Advisory Board."

Cundiff was appointed Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) president in May after working as president of Floyd College in Rome, Ga. for eight years. At Floyd College, he supervised the issuing of laptop computers to each of its approximate 3,000 students.

The initiative earned the school a rating as one of the top electronically wired colleges in the nation, and the White House recognized Cundiff as one of the most high-tech college presidents in the country.

A Missouri native, Cundiff received an associate's degree from Hannibal-LaGrange Junior College in Missouri, a bachelor's degree in mathematics and physical education from William Jewell College in Missouri, a master's degree in educational administration from Northeast Missouri State University, and a doctorate in educational leadership from Southern Illinois University.

He is also a Microsoft Advisory Board Member.
