DoubleClick's Reach Ensures Public Service Announcement
Messages Will be Seen By Half of Online Users
DoubleClick Inc. (Nasdaq: DCLK), the industry's leading global Internet advertising solutions company, today announced that it will be running over 250 million Public Service Announcement ad impressions during the holiday season. In order to accomplish this, DoubleClick has teamed up with Save the Children, Make a Wish Foundation, The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and New York Cares. All of these ads will have a red border around each banner that will identify this overall campaign.
"We are delighted that DoubleClick has committed to running our PSA campaigns during this holiday season," said Dianne Sherman, Associate Vice President of Public Affairs and Communications, Save the Children. "Given the fact that there are over 77 million U.S. consumers online today, we have found that online marketing is a very effective way to get our message out while creating consumer awareness for our cause."
The 250 million impressions will run on DoubleClick's domestic Network, a collection of premium web sites, as well as its Sonar Network, the premier mass-reach value-oriented network of web sites.
"DoubleClick is helping the Make-A-Wish Foundation make new friends online every day. Some come to our site just to read an inspiring wish story, while others want to help make wishes come true by making a donation or volunteering at their local chapter," said Paula Van Ness, President and CEO, Make-A-Wish Foundation of America. "These online friends are important to us, because we need their help with each and every wish we grant."
"DoubleClick has always put an emphasis on education, and since we reach nearly 50 percent of the online population, we're a perfect partner to help distribute messages for not-for-profit organizations," said Kevin Ryan, CEO, DoubleClick.
