SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 29, 2000
The California Energy Commission (CEC) has selected Regional Economic Research Inc. (RER) to conduct the California Commercial End-Use Survey (CEUS).
The project requires collecting data on end-use energy efficiency to support the design and planning of energy efficiency programs and policies for the State of California.
CEUS involves the completion of 2,500 extensive commercial on-site surveys across California and the collection of billing and load research data from participating California utilities. The research results will be used to develop annual energy use estimates and hourly load profiles by commercial market segment. Results will be used further for the construction of a flexible building energy demand analysis model to support the analysis of hourly impacts of load management strategies, building standards, alternative rate designs and other programs and policies.
The CEUS project will provide extremely important information to CEC planners. "With this information the CEC will have the ability to support its commercial end-use forecasting process and assess the potential for energy efficiency in California's commercial sector," stated Alan Fields, vice president of RER's Consulting & Analysis Division.
RER has assembled an exceptionally qualified team of energy professionals to work on this contract. Rounding out RER's project team are Xenergy Inc., ADM Associates, Volt VIEWtech Inc., J.J. Hirsch and Associates, and SDV/ACCI. The team was selected based on its extensive experience in on-site data collection, building simulation analysis, development of market profiles, and software development.
Founded in 1979, RER is a professional research and consulting firm specializing in the analysis of energy markets.
