Worldwide Wireless Networks In Quiet Period Due To Filing for Financing
Business Wire, Nov 29, 2000
Business Editors/Hi-Tech Writers
ORANGE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 29, 2000
Worldwide Wireless Networks Inc. (OTC BB: WWWN), announced today that by submitting the SB-2 filing with the SEC for it's previously announced financing package, they entered into an SEC regulated "quiet period" that restricts the information that can be shared with the public and shareholders.
This SEC "quiet period" is a standard regulation that all companies must comply with when submitting an SB-2 filing. Those most affected by this restriction are shareholders that are interested in hearing more news about the company other than that supplied through mandatory SEC filings.
"The necessary time involved in the process of filing for access to our financing is unfortunate for us at Worldwide and for our shareholders as well," stated Jack Tortorice, CEO and President of WWWN. "We would love to be able to provide detailed updates on our financing, new contracts, our expansion progress, Las Vegas progress, new staffing, new alliances and acquisition news but we can't.
"So the result is that the public can only assume that we are moving forward with our business plan, adding customers in Southern California and refining our operations on a daily basis. Before year end, we hope to have all the SEC issues addressed and have a final go ahead to access our funding and be able to communicate freely to the public again."
