Learning Tree to Release Hands-On Course: Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Introduction

Learning Tree International, Inc. (NASDAQ:LTRE) today announced its plans to release Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Introduction, a new hands-on course that teaches participants how to utilize the key components of SQL Server 2000. This four-day course provides extensive hands-on experience implementing a database schema with SQL Server Enterprise Manager; retrieving and modifying data with Query Designer and Query Analyzer; performing multidimensional data analysis using Analysis Services and Microsoft Excel; and migrating data from diverse sources with DTS.
"Microsoft developed SQL Server 2000 to offer increased ease of use and scalability, XML integration, and improved data transformation and analysis services," said John Moriarty, V.P. of Product Development for Reston, VA-based Learning Tree. "In this new course, participants gain practical experience exploring the SQL Server 2000 capabilities and using the graphical tools provided by Microsoft," he continued.
Upon release, Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Introduction will join Learning Tree's new SQL Server 2000 curriculum, which includes Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Database Administration, Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Transact-SQL Programming and Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Data Transformation Services.
Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Introduction is a core course in Learning Tree's SQL Server 2000 DBA Certified Professional and SQL Server 2000 Application Development Certified Professional certification programs. Certified graduates of these programs possess the skills and knowledge needed to successfully develop, administer, troubleshoot and secure SQL Server 2000 database applications.
Learning Tree International plans to present Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Introduction nationwide at its education centers beginning in January. The initial course schedule is:
