FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 6, 2000
The South Florida Chapter of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) will hold an afternoon seminar on Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) systems on November 9th in Miami. PKI systems are the critical security management systems for e-commerce. The seminar runs from 3 to 6 PM and reservations are required.
The featured speaker for the seminar is Jeff Hall with Entrust. He will describe how PKI systems work, detail the benefits of PKI, and explain how to overcome the challenges of deploying a PKI system. After talking about PKI in general, Jeff will present Entrust's solution. Entrust, www.entrust.com, is a leading provider of PKI solutions.
After the regularly scheduled meeting, Bukey Carmeli, CEO and founder of Spearhead Technologies (www.spearhead.net), will host a happy hour and give a brief presentation on their AirGAP system. This is a great opportunity to meet a leader in the network security field and network with other South Florida security professionals.
Dale Peterson, President of South Florida Chapter said, "Attending ISSA meetings is an excellent way for CIO's and Security Professionals to learn the latest information in this important and fast changing field. Since the membership is limited to people in the network security field, the caliber of the presentations, case studies, and round table discussions is extremely high."
ISSA meetings help candidates train for the Certified Information System Security Professionals (CISSP) exam, and CISSPs receive continuing professional education (CPE) credits for attending the meetings. November's meeting is worth 3 CPE credits.
Deloitte & Touche is hosting the meeting at their office at 200 S. Biscayne Boulevard in Miami. Deloitte & Touche Secure eBusiness Services specializes in eBusiness risk management and is part of Deloitte & Touche LLP, one of the world's leading professional services firms.
