Toshiba Appoints Chris Harrington as Vice President of Strategy and Business Development

Toshiba America Information Systems (TAIS) has appointed Chris Harrington to corporate-level vice president, Strategy and Business Development.
Harrington was designated to this newly created position Oct. 1, 2000, and was appointed to provide leadership in overall strategic planning for the corporation and will have management responsibilities for strategic alliances, partnerships, investments, mergers, and acquisitions. In addition, Harrington will coordinate public relations activities across all business units.

"Chris brings 25 years of relevant experience to the job, and a vision for business growth and expansion that is strongly aligned with the directions of the entire Toshiba Corporation."
Harrington, who joined the Telecommunication Systems Division of Toshiba America Information Systems in 1997 as vice president, Business Planning, now assumes greater responsibility in support of TAIS' worldwide computer, communications and imaging business groups.
Prior to joining Toshiba, Harrington spent almost two decades with AT&T in a number of diverse positions including strategic planning, new business development, public relations, product management, and systems engineering in Bell Laboratories. His background includes experience working in both computer and communications product areas as well as telecommunications services.
