Develop.Net Sells Hosting Business Assets to Kignet

Develop.Net, a leading provider of custom Internet applications software and development tools, today announced that its web hosting business assets have been acquired by Kignet Inc., a web hosting company based in Herndon, Virginia. The terms of the sale have not been released.

Develop.Net was one of the first web development and server hosting companies in the southeast United States when it began operations in June 1995 under the name WebWrite Productions. Over the years, the firm's web development business surpassed its server hosting activities. The sale will permit Develop.Net to concentrate on its e-commerce and enterprise web publishing software and services.

DNA customers include Nortel Networks, Acterna, Duke University Medical Center and Cree.
