REDWOOD SHORES, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 8, 2000
BWise, an innovator in the field of business transformation software, today announced it has signed a strategic global alliance with Cap Gemini Ernst & Young to provide companies with a total solution for migrating to an e-business environment.
The companies will work together to provide organizations with the software platform and consulting necessary for e-business transformation. The alliance is an extension of an agreement between the two companies signed earlier this year, in which BWise acquired Cap Gemini Ernst & Young's SDW modeling tool.
By combining Cap Gemini Ernst & Young's consulting expertise with BWise's product expertise, the two companies will provide a total solution for e-business transformation. BWise and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young will establish a competence center to support the effort. Customers of Cap Gemini Ernst & Young and BWise will be guaranteed a first-rate enterprise portal, enabling them to take up the challenges of the e-business era.
In making the announcement, Tim Willems, BWise CEO and founder said, "Winners in this economy are companies that transform their businesses at an accelerated pace. To gain speed, companies need a backbone for change that takes into consideration all the aspects of their organization -- people, processes and information. A backbone that supports the design, testing and control of the business processes based on existing knowledge and employee interaction.
"The alliance between BWise and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young recognizes the need to factor all three of these components into the transformation process. Together we offer the platform and the years of working with global industry leaders to help companies successfully manage change today and on an ongoing basis."
BWise Innovative Business Transformation Software
The BWise software portfolio provides a framework for rapid and secure migration to an e-business environment. The software offers a portal that provides insight into processes, information and resources. Empowering all levels of employees to understand all these components is crucial for businesses which need to act rapidly, and effectively in today's dynamic economy.
The integration of the SDW modeling tool with the BWise offering means that business processes can also be analyzed and improved interactively via the Intranet. BWise also offers its products as an Application Service Provider (ASP). As a result, customers can benefit from first-rate service and lower administrative costs.
