ShortCycles Inc., a provider of business-to-business e-services for sales information exchange, has appointed former VISA information systems executive Mike Ziock Vice President of Operations.
Effective immediately, Ziock will oversee the delivery of ShortCycles e-services to the company's global customer base.
Ziock brings more than 11 years of information technology experience to ShortCycles. Previously Director of Technical Services at e-commerce software developer and Web hosting service provider, Pandesic LLC, Ziock managed e-commerce ASP services for more than 100 e-businesses.
Prior to his position at Pandesic, he was Vice President of Visa International's Systems Planning and Engineering organization, where he led the design and deployment of Visa's worldwide credit card and payment processing systems infrastructure.
"Quality of service and operational efficiency will be Mike's primary areas of focus at ShortCycles," Ed Mueller, CEO, ShortCycles, said. "Although essential in every business, these attributes are the cornerstone of a successful ASP. With his experience in the deployment and support of e-commerce applications across global networks for hundreds of e-businesses, Mike is the ideal candidate to oversee ShortCycles' operations as we sign additional corporate customers."
Hewlett-Packard Corp. is among the first customers to use the ShortCycles sales information exchange across its organization.
"ShortCycles is different from many ASPs in that it has not only developed a core content delivery application, but it has integrated front-end functionality based on the extensive sales and marketing domain expertise of its company executives," Ziock said. "As a systems professional, I am confident we are delivering not only a solid operational backbone, but also the best end user software so that companies the caliber of HP can close business deals."
