Rare 'King Kong' Poster Headlines Giant Movie Memorabilia Auction To be Held by Greg Manning Auctions

Bids for Only Publicly Available Six-sheet Poster of Movie Classic
to be Accepted in Six Different Mediums, Including Online
Greg Manning Auctions, Inc. (Nasdaq: GMAI) will hold a major movie poster auction on Sunday, October 22, 2000 in its West Caldwell, NJ gallery. Included in the auction is the only known, publicly available, six-sheet poster from the classic 1933 RKO film "King Kong," as well as many posters from timeless science fiction films, vintage comedies, and other movie classics offered. Bids will be accepted from an unprecedented six different mediums, including live floor bids, the Internet, and the telephone.
"Our upcoming movie poster auction represents an incredible value for serious collectors. We also have seen a tremendous influx of new collectors into this wonderful hobby of ours", said Bill Hughes of GMAI. "While the six-sheet `King Kong' poster is a true highlight, the auction will offer a number of other rare posters from classic titles also."
Many fresh pieces will be part of the 658 lots offered in this auction. In addition to the "King Kong" six-sheet, a one-sheet for Disney's "Snow White" and a half-sheet of "The Invisible Ray" starring Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi will be offered. Other highlights include a three-sheet "Creature from the Black Lagoon," and a half-sheet for The Marx Brothers' "A Night at the Opera." Title lobby cards from the "Wizard of Oz" and "Casablanca," and a lobby card from The Three Stooges' "Time Out for Rhythm" will also be offered.
