DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 10, 2000
Microsoft Exchange & Collaboration Solutions Conference-- Xevo Corporation, the leading provider of Application Service Provider (ASP) infrastructure solutions, today announced that ASP Workbench, its service management platform, supports Microsoft Exchange 2000. Xevo's ASP Workbench provides ASPs with the tools they need to enable rapid automatic user provisioning, sophisticated subscriber management and the development of multiple pricing models and service packages based on each end user's needs.
ASP Workbench allows the development of service packages and offerings that include Exchange applications. Through ASP Workbench's support of Exchange 2000, ASPs will be able to decrease their own time-to-market through easy provisioning of end-users. ASP Workbench utilizes the Exchange 2000 Hosting Pack provisioning technologies, a set of services that ease the administration of hosted Exchange services.
"Microsoft platforms and applications, particularly Exchange 2000, have wide applicability to multiple ASPs," said Mark Hynes, vice president, business development at Xevo. "ASP Workbench is extremely well suited to managing hosted Exchange 2000. Our solution's support of Exchange 2000 will help our ASP customers scale their businesses as they can now quickly and easily perform the provisioning, metering and service management for these business critical applications."
ASPs need to build an infrastructure that will seamlessly support a variety of platforms and applications including Microsoft Windows 2000 and Exchange 2000. As ASPs scale to meet the demands of enterprise customers, they need to be able to support many thousands of users on the Exchange 2000 platform. ASP Workbench provides this support, as well as the detailed metering of Exchange 2000 applications.
"With the launch of Exchange 2000, Xevo Corporation provides a valuable service management platform to ASPs deploying messaging and collaboration services," said Stan Sorensen, group product manager, Server Applications at Microsoft. "Xevo products are particularly important because they significantly reduce customer-management costs for the ASP."
