Pioneer of eProcurement Solutions
for Schools and Government Agencies Creates
an Innovative Online Training Program for Buyers and Suppliers
Epylon Corporation, the leading provider of hosted eBusiness solutions for education and government institutions, today announced the availability of Web-based training for its customers. Through an alliance with DigitalThink, the pioneering e-learning solution provider to Fortune 1000 companies, Epylon developed custom courses to help buyers and suppliers familiarize themselves with Epylon independently and at their own pace. Epylon's Web-based training program will provide customers with a self-managed way to begin using Epylon for eProcurement.
Together, Epylon and DigitalThink created an online training program and DigitalThink will host and deliver the curriculum. The program, called LEAP (Learn Epylon At your own Pace,) simplifies the activation and learning process for Epylon customers. LEAP uses a combination of text, graphics, practice exercises and short quizzes to make training useful, fun and interactive. LEAP allows users to select modules based on their procurement role, such as purchaser, approver or requisitioning staff. Participants can customize the sequence of the modules and complete the course over a period of time.
"Offering Web-based training is one more way that Epylon is demonstrating our unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction," said Brad Hall, senior director of customer service of Epylon. "We are committed to empowering schools and government agencies to be more effective and successful in their procurement initiatives."
Epylon's LEAP program provides the following benefits:
-- Available to a national user audience on demand -- A useful, interactive and fun learning orientation experience for new Epylon users -- Participants may complete the course as their schedule permits
"Epylon's team of former school administrators and individuals who have had experience in the public sector understand the specialized purchasing needs of school districts and government agencies," said Dr. Rita Hanna, school business administrator of the Lower Camden County Regional School District. "Online training for the Epylon Web site will make purchasing through Epylon even easier."
