Following its commitment to make professional mental-health care more accessible to the millions of Americans who need it, 4therapy.com has signed an agreement with RnetHealth Inc. to make its Therapist Locator available on Rnet's Web site, it was announced today.

The Therapist Locator is a trademarked search engine that matches consumers with mental-health professionals who live in their region and are ideally suited to their needs. It is owned by 4therapy.com, which was recently named a top mental-health Web site by Gomez Advisors and "Best of the Net" by About.com.

Brown pointed out that according to a new survey released by the National Mental Health Association and the Internet Healthcare Coalition, 34 percent of the online public uses the Internet to search for mental-health information.

4therapy.com is a subscription-based Web site that provides mental-health professionals with administrative support and other valuable services, while offering consumers customized referrals and free access to confidential chat rooms, self-assessment tests, expert-moderated forums and well-researched articles and reports on mental-health issues.
