CHARLOTTE, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 16, 2000
Web-based Solution to Facilitate Communication for Thousands Across
Recently United FedEx Corporate Services Sales Force
YOUcentric, Inc., an eBusiness Relationship Management solutions provider, today announced that FedEx Corporate Services, Inc. ("FedEx") has deployed YOUrelate(TM) from YOUcentric to its 2,800 sales management and professionals in the U.S.
The YOUcentric solution will be an instrumental tool in facilitating communication across the recently united FedEx sales force, resulting in increased operational efficiencies and productivity for all FedEx operating companies.
"Our Web-based solution fits well with the FedEx operating strategy," said Don DeLoach, president and CEO, YOUcentric. "FedEx needed a solution that could be easily integrated to create a unified sales force. This solution will enable the FedEx sales teams to access relevant customer information in order to improve cross-sell opportunities and ultimately increase sales productivity across the newly joined sales organization."
"FedEx is firmly committed to deploying technology that enhances our ability to provide quick, efficient access to key customer relationship information," said Scot Struminger, FedEx vice president of Information Technology. "YOUcentric's web-based functionality made them ideally suited to meet the needs of our mobile sales professionals."
YOUcentric applies the principles of mass customization to provide Web-based solutions that allow companies to manage complex relationships both internally and throughout the extended enterprise. YOUcentric teamed with Sybase Consulting to provide a customized solution to enable FedEx to manage and distribute real-time relationship management and information via the web across its enterprise and customer value chain.
YOUcentric will allow the FedEx sales force to more effectively manage its customer relationships with seamless access to a variety of data sources. Key to the solution is a Web-based open architecture that allows for multiple access methods to one centrally managed application.
Remote users will benefit from synching to laptops over the web using any standard browser or detached hand-held device, including phones and palm devices in future phases.
"In the world of the Web economy, agility is quickly becoming the battleground. Just like the shift from mainframe to client/server computing, the shift from client/server computing to the world of the web will give rise to the leaders of tomorrow who leverage this medium," said Sheryl Kingstone, Program Manager, CRM Strategies, the Yankee Group. "YOUcentric is uniquely positioned to enable FedEx to meet their business needs by exploiting the Web across the extended enterprise, in an adaptable fashion using their internal processes and data."
