Christopher J. Battaglia Appointed Advertising Director, Eastern Region; Greg Licciardi Named National Advertising Manager for The Industry Standard GROK

Standard Media International ("The Standard") announced that it has appointed Christopher Battaglia, advertising director, eastern region. The Standard has also promoted Greg Licciardi to the position of national advertising manager for The Industry Standard GROK(TM), its monthly special reports magazine on the Internet Economy.
Battaglia joins The Standard from Crain Communications, where he served as advertising sales director, international sales manager and director of custom publishing. Prior, he was an account manager at Corporate Finance Magazine, and also held positions at Investment Dealers' Digest and Merrill Lynch. He received his B.A. from Ithaca College.

In his new role, Battaglia will oversee the sales forces out of The Standard's New York, Boston, and Atlanta offices. In addition, he will assist in managing the integration of other products and services, such as The Industry Standard GROK, The Standard.com, and conferences and events.
Prior to being named national advertising manager for The Industry Standard GROK, Licciardi was The Industry Standard's regional sales manager for New York and Massachusetts. Licciardi came to The Standard from Delta Air Lines Sky Magazine, where he was the Northeast sales director and was responsible for selling Sky Magazine as well as several ancillary products. Before that, he was an account executive for Ziff Davis's Computer Shopper Magazine. Licciardi also held positions at Reuben H. Donnelley and Holland Advertising. He received his B.A. from Rutgers University and an M.B.A from Fordham University.
