MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 17, 2000
Intuit Inc. (Nasdaq:INTU) today debuted the QuickBooks(R) Affiliate Program, a third-party sales program for its best selling QuickBooks(R) software products. The program allows qualified individuals and organizations to sell QuickBooks via their Web sites and earn a percentage of the revenue generated from each sale. Ideal affiliate partners include professional accountants,(1) small business associations, and vertical market service providers.
Approved QuickBooks Affiliates feature a special QuickBooks logo and product information on their Web sites, allowing customers/members to purchase the product directly from their sites. Affiliates may also qualify to receive special product discounts to be passed along to their clients and members.
"There is great demand for this type of affiliate program in the small business and professional accounting communities. These organizations have expressed interest in offering QuickBooks software to their clients and members and now, thanks to the power of the Internet, we can empower them to do so," said Dan Nye, vice president and general manager of Intuit's Small Business Division. "With the QuickBooks Affiliate Program, these organizations can generate additional revenue and provide more complete services to their clients and members."
Accountant John J. Vento, CPA, PC, The World Wide Web CPA said, "The QuickBooks Affiliate Program has been a great opportunity for my firm to extend the service we provide to our clients. As a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor firm, we have been actively providing both technical support and training for QuickBooks software. Now, through our Web site, www.WWWCPA.com, we offer our clients a convenient and efficient way to purchase QuickBooks software and save up to 20 percent. Plus my firm receives incremental revenues from each sale."
Companies and individuals that would like to participate in the QuickBooks Affiliate Program simply complete an application on the QuickBooks Web site (www.quickbooks.com/affiliate). After receiving notification from Intuit that they have been accepted for the program, the QuickBooks Affiliate selects the QuickBooks logo and the content they would like to feature on their site. Approved QuickBooks Affiliates simply copy the HTML and paste it into their Web site.
