StudioDepot.com, a division of Mole-Richardson Co., Hollywood's premier lighting company since 1927, today announced the launch of a wireless version of its StudioDepot.com Internet site.
Through devices such as the Palm(TM) and Handspring(TM) PDA the production community will now be able to order set supplies on location.
Already a staple in the industry as a brick-and-mortar outlet and Web site, Studio Depot is fast becoming one of the world's most popular online stores, offering accessories to Motion Picture, TV, Photographic and Digital production professionals around the globe.
"As part of this wireless launch, we are letting new and established customers alike know that they will be able to streamline their production ordering process with any communication device they choose," said John Parker, Director of Web Development for Mole-Richardson Co. "As professionals in our industry find new ways to communicate with each other we feel that it's important to extend our services to those areas as well. That's why we've not only added the PDA device to our list of communication tools, but are planning to do the same with cell phones and other WAP enabled devices in the near future."
Mole-Richardson Co. has increasingly been exhibiting success in the B-to-B e-commerce arena since StudioDepot.com became the first and largest studio supply store on the Web.
