The Knot (NASDAQ: KNOT; www.theknot.com; AOL keyword: weddings), the leading online wedding resource, today announced the launch of The Knot Polling Place, a monthly survey area where to-be-weds can cast their vote on a variety of wedding-planning topics. The area adds greater user interaction to the site and provides insight into the dynamics of the online bridal community. Poll results, which are accessible by users, will enhance The Knot's ability to provide best-of-class content, tools and services to the largest online bridal audience.
Each month, The Knot Polling Place will feature a four-to-five question poll that tackles one of today's hottest wedding-related topics from proposals, budgets and wedding etiquette to the intimacies of the wedding night. Because many brides and grooms plan their wedding based on current bridal trends, The Knot will archive and interpret poll results to create a comprehensive database of statistics for user reference.
Additionally, participants will be able to share related wedding-planning stories at the end of each poll and offer feedback about poll topics in "We Want to Know". An assortment of relevant Knot tools from the Wedding Budgeter to the Weekly Checklist, will also be featured in "Your Tool Box". The Knot Polling Place is accessible to users via The Knot homepage.
