Journal Register Company Completes Sale of The Telegraph in Alton, Illinois to Freedom Communications, Inc

TRENTON, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 24, 2000

Journal Register Company's (NYSE: JRC) previously announced sale of The Telegraph, located in Alton, Illinois, to Freedom Communications, Inc. was completed today.

The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
