Qualstar Corporation Schedules Earnings Report and Shareholder Conference Call

Qualstar Corporation (Nasdaq:QBAK), the Canoga Park-based manufacturer of tape libraries, announced today that it anticipates reporting first quarter earnings for the three months ended Sept. 30, 2000, after the market closes on Oct. 30, 2000.
Management will host a shareholder conference call at 5:00 p.m. EST on Monday, Oct. 30, 2000. The dial-in number is 888/214-7597.
A replay of the call will be available shortly after the call ends until Nov. 20, 2000 at 11:59 p.m. EST on Qualstar's Web-site at www.qualstar.com.
Qualstar Corporation designs, develops, assembles and sells magnetic tape libraries used to store, retrieve and manage electronic data primarily in network computing environments.
Qualstar's tape libraries have native uncompressed storage capacities ranging from 200 gigabytes to more than 30 terabytes of native (uncompressed) storage capacity; can utilize several popular tape formats; and are compatible with most network operating systems and storage management software applications.
Qualstar's products are sold worldwide, primarily to value-added resellers and original equipment manufacturers.
