iMedium, the Web's premier enabler of visual e-business interactions and a Safeguard Scientifics (NYSE:SFE) partner company, announces that respected management leader John Cooper has joined the company as President and CEO. In this position, Cooper will be responsible for leading the management team, as well as having stewardship of the overall vision and direction of the company. Founder and former President Brian Dooner will remain as Chairman.
Mr. Cooper has over 25 years of leadership and management experience in the hi-tech industry, including a strong familiarity with the ASP business model. Most recently, he was the SMS (Shared Medical Systems) Vice President of e.Solutions and Healthcare Data Exchange Corporation (HDX), a leading electronic information exchange services company founded by SMS. In this capacity, he was responsible for facilitating electronic data interchange in healthcare and the coordination and strategic direction of SMS' Internet, e-Business and Business Intelligence strategies. Cooper was SMS' chief spokesperson on the company's e-Solutions and Internet strategy, presenting SMS' e-Business strategy at many professional health information conferences and key press and financial analyst briefings, as well as participating in numerous publication interviews.
