Market-leading HP Manageability Software, Service and Support
Facilitate Customers' Move to Windows 2000
Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE:HWP) manageability tools and support are helping to ensure a smooth transition for customers deploying Microsoft(TM) Windows(R) 2000 Professional across IT networks. HP is delivering solutions, services and support, such as HP OpenView, that offer expertise in high-availability computing on the Windows platform.
HP customers are deploying Windows 2000 to take advantage of its high reliability, scalability, ease-of-use and advanced security features. One HP OpenView customer -- MortgageFlex Systems Inc. of Jacksonville, Fla., a leading provider of mortgage-automation software and solutions for lending institutions -- deployed Windows 2000 Professional to provide "a more reliable environment for clients and end users," said Gary Zeiger, vice president, technology service, MortgageFlex.
"Windows 2000 Professional has provided increased network speed, Active Directory Services and a common interface for our IT systems," Zeiger said. "HP OpenView - together with Jacksonville, Fla.-based reseller the ARCO Group -- helped MortgageFlex through every aspect of its Windows 2000 Professional deployment, and provided expertise in managing the deployment to ensure zero downtime while the conversion occurred. HP also provided MortgageFlex with insights from its own experience migrating to Windows 2000."
HP OpenView Provides Manageability "Foundation"
HP OpenView has provided a "foundation" management system for IT subsystems within MortgageFlex, Zeiger said. "We have integrated all MortgageFlex network and application system management tools into HP OpenView for complete interoperability and 24x7 monitoring of our entire center," he said. "HP OpenView's open structure and scalability is amazing."
