Background: Orson Swindle demonstrated true leadership in May,
2000 when he voted in the minority on a 3-2 vote within the FTC on the
question of Federal regulation of personal privacy on Internet
websites. While voting against the immediate need for Federal
government intervention, Mr. Swindle has strongly-held views on
corporate responsibilities in this important new area.

The Information Technology Association of America (ITAA) and TechNet will host a candid discussion with Commissioner Swindle focusing on privacy, regulation and the future of U.S. government involvement in E-Commerce.
