Zoran Corporation (Nasdaq:ZRAN), a leading provider of digital solutions-on-a-chip for applications in the growing multimedia and Internet consumer markets, today announced that its Vaddis DVD Decoder IC is used in U.K. specialist audio manufacturer Arcam's new DiVA (Digitally integrated Video and Audio) series DVD-Video players. The high-performance Arcam DV88 DVD player is designed to playback regular DVD-Video discs and music CDs as well as CD-R, CD-RW discs, HDCD encoded CDs, and some MP3 encoded CDs. The Vaddis decoder incorporates software programmable video and audio processors supporting a vast array of features for multiple formats and theater quality reproduction of movies and dedicated musical entertainment in high-quality DVD players like those built by Arcam.
