NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--October 5, 2000
Scott Schiller has been named senior vice president, strategic partnership marketing, for Walt Disney Internet Group (NYSE:DIG), and will oversee a group dedicated exclusively to developing and executing partnership strategies for Walt Disney Internet Group's largest advertising and marketing partners. Schiller had been senior vice president of advertising sales and sponsorships for Walt Disney Internet Group's branded sales division.
"With his extensive media and marketing background, having worked with our largest clients, Scott is ideally suited to head up this initiative," said Mort Marcus, executive vice president, sales and development, Walt Disney Internet Group. "No one has as diverse a collection of media and brands as The Walt Disney Company, and this group will be charged with leveraging those assets for our partners and adding value at every corner."
Prior to this new role, Schiller led all advertising and e-commerce sponsorship efforts for The Walt Disney Company's branded Web properties: ABC.com, ABCNEWS.com, Disney.com, ESPN.com and Family.com, as well as its entertainment properties such as Mr. Showbiz and Wall of Sound.
