WHAT:       The hottest ticket in town...and we have it! The Ritmo
            Latino Music Awards El Premio de la Gente 2000 is soon
            coming to Southern California. El Premio de la Gente, "The
            Award of the People," was originally conceived to provide
            the Latino public with a voice to vote for their favorite
            artists. Sponsors include VONS, a Safeway Co., and Ritmo
            Latino music stores, among others. The ceremony will be
            televised on the Telemundo Network in November.

            Voters from across the nation chose their favorite stars
            in 14 categories, including the genres of pop, salsa, Rock
            en Espanol, Ranchero, Tejano and regional Mexican, as well
            as the video, song and artist of the year.

WHO:        Top Latino artists scheduled to deliver sizzling
            performances include: Puerto Rican superstars Son by Four
            and Chayanne, A.B. Quintanilla y los Kumbia Kings (led by
            Selena's brother), pop queen Jaci Velasquez, Mexican
            golden girl Paulina Rubio, legendary rockers Saul
            Hernandez/Jaguares, crossover sensation Charlie Zaa, Pedro
            Fernandez and Bertin Osborne.
