iDeliver(TM) Software Provides Near Real-time Data Delivery to
Partners, Suppliers, Employees and Customers via the Internet
Transcend 2000 User Conference
DataMirror Corporation (TSE: DMC), a leading provider of e-Business data integration and resiliency solutions, today announced a major new release of its business-to-business (B2B) integration software. iDeliver Version 2.0 was unveiled to over 85 customers, business partners and analysts at DataMirror's third annual user conference held at Walt Disney World Resort, Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
iDeliver is a business-to-business integration solution that streamlines collaborative business processes extended across partners, suppliers, employees and customers. iDeliver software allows organizations to filter and publish corporate data securely over intranets, extranets or the Internet so that authorized business partners or trading partners with web access can easily subscribe to the data. iDeliver is ideal for any business case in which data is being shared unidirectionally either within an organization or between business partners via fax, e-mail, File Transfer Protocol (FTP), Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) or other means.
iDeliver provides a powerful solution for helping customers to reduce transaction costs, shorten cycle times, virtually eliminate the need for paper trails and redundant data entry, and enhance customer experiences. Using iDeliver, corporations can even replicate their employee contact information from legacy and enterprise systems to the desktops of their mobile and static workforce. Using special out-of-the-box iDeliver replication features, information can then be replicated to Microsoft Outlook as well as PDA devices including Palm Pilots, Windows CE devices and NeoPoint phones.
"The Internet is truly revolutionizing the way companies interact with customers, partners and suppliers," said Nigel Stokes, Chairman, President and CEO of DataMirror. "Currently, large manufacturers who distribute their products through a network of resellers and independent retailers often have a hard time supplying current pricing and availability information to resellers for inclusion in on-line catalogues or on their web site. Requests for product information are often processed manually, causing unnecessary delays and increasing overall costs. An effective, high performance B2B solution like iDeliver enables manufacturers to easily and securely publish this confidential data to the Internet where partners can subscribe to the data and integrate relevant information into their catalogues."
Featuring out-of-the-box integration with leading databases including DB2, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and Access, as well as desktop applications such as Microsoft Outlook and Excel, iDeliver enables organizations to securely integrate diverse systems and keep their data synchronized through near real-time replication. The iDeliver client has an integrated Visual Basic(R) for Applications (VBA) component that allows users to execute custom or standard APIs to integrate data directly into ERP or CRM systems, as well as flow data in near real-time into any custom or standard XML format. iDeliver's ability to leverage existing infrastructures sets iDeliver apart from solutions that require private infrastructures, proprietary standards, process re-engineering and costly implementations.
Pricing and Availability
Fully functional versions of iDeliver Version 2.0 are available for evaluation upon request. iDeliver requires DataMirror Transformation Server software for integration of diverse data sources. Pricing is based on the number of simultaneous server connections. Until October 31, 2000, early adopter discounts are available.
